Barisal Backwater Trip in Bangladesh

Barisal, officially known as Barishal, is a vibrant city located on the banks of the Kirtankhola River in the south-central region of Bangladesh. As the largest city and administrative center of Barisal District and Barisal Division, it holds historical and cultural significance.

Founded in 1876 during the British Raj as a municipality, Barisal was upgraded to a City Corporation on 25 July 2002. The city, covering an area of 58 square kilometers, is home to a population of 328,278 (according to the 2011 national census).

Barisal is known for its rich heritage, bustling river ports, and old architecture. Over the years, it has developed into an important regional hub for commerce and culture. The city’s location along the Kirtankhola River adds to its charm, offering scenic views and promoting river-based activities. Its 30 wards and 50 mahallas make it a densely populated and diverse urban area, combining both modern and traditional aspects of life in Bangladesh.

Barisal is also famed for its natural beauty, proximity to the floating guava markets, and its lush green landscapes that attract tourists seeking a quiet, yet dynamic experience.

Our guide will pick up you from Hotel and help to board the ferry. You will keep your staffs inside the sleeping cabin and come outside to the see the beauty. Ferry will leave Dhaka a7 8.30 p.m. You will stay Ferry overnight.

: Day 1

After Breakfast Then will go out to see the city. Will visit Church, the busy local bazaars, river ports. Local Market Overnight Stay in Barisal.  

: Day 2 :

early mornig at 6 am we will take you for Boat trip and visit Floating markets of Barisal .overnight stay in Barisal .

: Day 3 :

after breakfast at 8 am we will take you for another side to show you another floating market and village activities . at 8 pm Ferry to Dhaka .arrive next day morning at 6 am in dhaka and End the tour.
