Sundarban tour in Bangladesh

The Sundarbans mangrove forest, one of the largest such forests in the world (140,000 ha), lies on the delta of the Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna rivers on the Bay of Bengal. It is adjacent to the border of India’s Sundarbans World Heritage site inscribed in 1987. The site is intersected by a complex network of tidal waterways, mudflats and small islands of salt-tolerant mangrove forests, and presents an excellent example of ongoing ecological processes.
The area is known for its wide range of fauna, including 260 bird species, the Bengal tiger and other threatened species such as the estuarine crocodile and the Indian python.
We arrange private tour (10-20 persons) with our boat. Our experienced guide will show you the beauty of Sundarbans and we are sure we will return with lifetime experience.

Itinerary 1:

Day 1: Dhaka to Khulna

• Depart from Dhaka by overnight AC bus or train (9-10 hours journey).
• Arrive in Khulna early in the morning (5/6 AM).
• Transfer to Mongla by private AC car.

Day 2: Sundarbans Mangrove Forest Exploration

• Board the boat by 7/8 AM for your Sundarbans mangrove forest adventure.
• Enjoy a 9-10 hour boat journey through the heart of the Sundarbans.
• Overnight stay at Katka. Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) will be served on the boat.

Day 3: Canal Trip, Jungle Trekking, and Beach Visit

• Early morning (6 AM), embark on a 2-hour canal trip in a small wooden boat.
• Return to the boat for breakfast.
• After breakfast, experience a thrilling jungle trek inside the Sundarbans mangrove forest (3-4 hours).
• Visit the Bay of Bengal at Katka Sea Beach.
• Return to the boat for lunch.
• After lunch, set off for Tambulbunia Forest Office for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Tambulbunia Forest and Khulna Tour

• Early morning canal trip by small wooden boat to spot wildlife.
• Explore Tambulbunia forest area and visit the Harbaria forest area and a nearby fishing village.
• After lunch (1-2 PM), return to Khulna.
• On the way, visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Sixty Dome Mosque, and enjoy a Khulna city tour.
• Overnight AC train to Dhaka.

Day 5: Arrival in Dhaka

Tour ends.

Arrive in Dhaka early in the morning (5/6 AM).

Itinerary 2:

Day 1: Dhaka to Khulna

• Depart from Dhaka by overnight AC train (9-10 hour journey).
• Arrive at Khulna early in the morning (6 AM).

Day 2: Khulna to Mongla and Sundarbans Exploration

• Upon arrival in Khulna, transfer by private AC car to Mongla.
• Continue by boat to the Eco Village (1-hour boat ride).
• After lunch, enjoy an afternoon excursion into the Sundarbans mangrove forest by small wooden boat.
• Overnight stay at Eco Resort.

Day 3: Full Day Boat Trip in Sundarbans

• After breakfast at 8:30 AM, embark on a 4-5 hour boat trip exploring the Sundarbans mangrove forest.
• A packed lunch will be provided on the boat.
• Return to Eco Resort for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Visit UNESCO Heritage Site and Khulna City Tour

• After breakfast at 8 AM, check out of the Eco Resort and return to Khulna.
• On the way, visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Sixty Dome Mosque, in Bagerhat.
• In the afternoon, explore Khulna city and visit a local market.
• Overnight AC train or bus back to Dhaka.

Day 5: Arrival in Dhaka

Tour ends.

Arrive in Dhaka early in the morning (6 AM).
